1/2 cup (125 mL) PC MEMORIES OF Dad's Grill, Maple, Apple & Beer Sauce
2 pepper or acorn squash
1/4 cup (50 mL) salted butter melted
1/4 tsp (1 mL) freshly ground black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut squash into quarters. Remove seeds. Place squash, cut side up, onto rimmed baking sheet. Brush flesh with half of butter. Bake in centre of oven for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove from oven. Brush with Memories sauce. Bake 20 minutes longer.
  4. Remove from oven. Brush with remaining butter. Bake until squash is tender when pierced with tip of a sharp knife, about 15 to 20 minutes longer. Sprinkle with pepper.

Chef's Tips

Squash can be baked ahead of time. Refrigerate. Reheat for 20 minutes in 350°F (180°C) oven or until warmed through.
